Why Regulatory Pressure Is Making This More Common
As compliance pressure on centralized exchanges has intensified — particularly for US-based traders dealing with increasingly aggressive FinCEN and SEC posturing — the appetite for on-chain position management has exploded. Traders who used to execute big moves through a prime brokerage relationship at a major exchange are now doing it themselves, on-chain, through DEX infrastructure.

That's a sign of a large actor prioritizing speed and obscurity over price efficiency.
Unusual depth asymmetry. When one side of a stablecoin pair on a DEX has dramatically more liquidity than the other, it can indicate that someone has pre-positioned liquidity to absorb a large incoming swap. That's not random. Someone knows something is coming.
Cross-chain flow divergence. If a stablecoin is flowing heavily in one direction across a bridge while the peg stays flat, watch the destination chain closely. Something is being set up.
